We popped in here just before they closed and were happy that they still had some warm buns (bao) available. We got and very much enjoyed the pork one and the pumpkin one — and wish we could have sampled them all, had we been hungrier.

The best steamed buns can be found here. The chicken bun is delicious as were the plain and custard buns. we also had iced tea and cold bottled water. great prices. there are 3 stools you can sit on to escape the heat. if you are looking for a quick fix, this is the place. if you haven’t tried buns, try them here.

You have to stop at the Golden Steamer if you are looking for a good bun. The pumpkin was sweet and delectable and the pork was flavorful. Each will only set you back $1 or so. I will be going back again and again.

There are food experiences in your life that you will remember 3 decades later. I have finally found my steam bun nirvana. My septuagenarian mother said it was the best that she had ever tasted. The place is a hole in the wall with just a few chairs. I ate a pork & chive bun and promptly order 2 dozens to go. I am just sorry I do not have the strength to carry 6 dozens home. The cost was insanely low. It is hard to find great steam buns.
